When skilled workers with specific skills are not available in Germany, sometimes the only solution is to look beyond the country’s borders. Steelworkers, welders or CNC specialists are particularly in short supply in Germany. However, the immigration of skilled workers poses many legal and bureaucratic challenges, regardless of whether their qualifications are recognised. Together with national and international partners such as the Cottbus Chamber of Industry and Commerce, we have taken up this challenge and launched a funding project: “Recruitment and Qualification of Skilled Workers from Vietnam. We are also building a network in other countries.
